Reading is fundamental to growth and development. I have read a lot of books on my journey to spiritual and mental wholeness. I will add the list of books, potentially write a review, and add a link to purchase the book.
I Love Jesus But I Want To Die
Finding Hope In The Darkness Of Depression by Sarah J. Robinson
I read this book twice in the midst of deep darkness and sadness. This book is a candid look of what happens when you struggle with depression and loving Jesus but finding no cure for your symptoms. This book discusses the shame one feels when walking in the depths of depression and suicidal ideations and how to seek God through the battle. This book is designed to help you reconnect with God. God is always present, even when we believe we are walking in darkness, He is there walking with us. His love for us means we will never be alone in the battle. I am probably going to read this one again. It is good to be reminded and refreshed on how others walked their journey and the encouragement it brings as I walk my own journey. No longer alone but with God and my team of supporters. I highly recommend this book for those struggling with depression.

Holy Noticing by Charles Stone
Many people think that mindfulness and meditation is wrong and goes against God. The reality is that God has given us skills to use to help us release tension and stress and grow in ways to focus on Him. I have found this book to be beneficial on my walk with Christ. This book has taught me the importance of taking the time to slow down, notice peace and calm, and that is reflective on God.
Holy Noticing will teach you how to:
reduce your stress by developing the ability to focus on God and people rather than tasks become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and environment recognize Christ’s presence in the moment
Get Out Of Your Head

Get Out Of Your Head by Jennie Allen is truly a helpful and must-read book if you struggle with anxiety. She takes a biblical approach on exploring anxiety and how to stop the spiral of thinking dead in it tracks. This book is an easy read, and I highly recommend it.
